Rev. 2:4
01:58
|
|||
How can I return to my first love? Here’s some things that I’ve mistaken for God:
- Bathwater smell
- Ribs on fingernails—“Love is strange, it's so real in the dark”
- A Christmas tree farm
- A sweater on my arm
Sing a hymn till you feel your face. So he held mine and prayed and it snowed big flakes. I worship the ritual.
So when your loves die, there’s nothing behind the fantasy you called a faith.
Now I’m on every dumb path, but You own the map—I just wish You really felt like a friend.

Be Thou My Vision
03:05
|
|||
Be Thou my vision, oh Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great father and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart
High King of Heaven, my treasure Thou art
High King of Heaven, my victory won
May I reach Heaven’s joys, oh bright Heaven’s sun
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, oh ruler of all

Every thing you are is everything we have. You’re the only good thing. A sun came and burned our faces round—burned our faces red. You are the still the rage—a rock from the enemy. And there is a still a house—a cage for the enemy. And when my friends turn out, I found out, there’s still the Lord. But I’ve never felt so lonely. A sun came.
